Abstract

This study examines the social trends, values, and worldviews of the millennial generation in South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Data were collected in 2019 through a survey of 1,047 university students aged 18 to 25. The sample included 300 respondents from South Korea, 447 from Kazakhstan, and 300 from Uzbekistan. As this generation is poised to play a pivotal role in future Central Asian-Korean relations, understanding their distinct characteristics is essential. The findings highlight significant divergences in individualism, family values, and economic priorities between the youth of Central Asia and South Korea.
