Peer Review

Sociology.KZ is a peer-reviewed journal. The editorial policy of the journal Sociology.KZ is aimed at ensuring the high scientific quality of published materials, protection against plagiarism, and adherence to ethical standards. Only articles that have received a positive evaluation from experts are published in the journal.

Articles undergo two stages of evaluation: preliminary internal selection by the editorial board and the main peer-review stage by external experts. The journal employs a double-blind peer-review procedure, in which the reviewers' names are not disclosed to the author(s), and the author(s)' names are not disclosed to the reviewers.

The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that are thematically inappropriate or improperly formatted, while adhering to the principles of editorial ethics. The main reasons for rejection at the preliminary stage include mismatch with the journal's scope, significant errors in content, presence of plagiarism, duplicate publications, and violations of language norms. Manuscripts rejected by the editorial board due to non-compliance with formatting requirements are not sent for peer review.

Based on the second stage, a decision is made and communicated to the author via email, along with the reviewers' comments or a general expert conclusion. Possible decisions are:

1. a) accept the article for publication;
2. b) revise the article (specific revision recommendations are provided);
3. c) reject the article (reasons for rejection are stated).

Publication Ethics

In its publishing activities, the journal Sociology.KZ adheres to the generally accepted ethical principles of publishing scientific materials and is guided by the principles of ethics established in the international publishing community, as well as by the Code of Ethics for Scientists followed by the staff of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religion of the KN MES RK.

The published materials do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board.

All information on the website is provided in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English, ensuring informational access to the site's content.

Authors and readers can access electronic versions of the current issue of the journal, as well as the archive of journal issues. The journal and all its publications in electronic form are distributed free of charge.

Privacy Policy

Information about authors is published in the journal section "Our Authors". It includes the following details: full name, place of work, position held, academic degree, and title.

Names and email addresses entered on the journal's website are used exclusively for the purposes specified by the journal and cannot be used for any other purposes or provided to other individuals or organizations.

The journal's editorial board maintains confidentiality regarding the disclosure of information about the author(s) of the article to reviewers and about the reviewers to the author(s). It also does not disclose information about manuscripts under consideration to third parties.
